AlexI’m on the Mediterranean coast in Turkey. At first glance, this place looks untouched – rocks, waves, clean sand. But if you slow down and look closer, plastic is everywhere.
A blue bottle cap between the stones. Pieces of bags tangled in seaweed. Tiny bits of broken plastic all over the sand. You wouldn’t even notice them unless you’re really looking. But once you see it, you can’t unsee it.
This is what the sea looks like now. Not in a documentary. Not on the news. Right here, under your feet.
It made me feel a little sick, honestly. You come to the sea expecting peace, and then you realize how much damage we’ve already done.
I picked up what I could, but most of it is too small. It’s already part of the beach.
Just sharing this because it’s real. No drama, no big message. Just something I saw and felt the need to say.
