Did you know you can camp in spots like this?

Most people don’t realize it, but you can camp in places like this. And let me tell you, there’s nothing more beautiful than camping in the wilderness.

All you need is

📝 Permit: most national parks and state parks have wilderness areas that you are allowed to to camp if you get a permit. Usually 15$ on www.recreation.gov.

⛺️ Gear: You’ll want lightweight gear. If you’re just starting out, try renting it at your local outdoor store.

🥾 Shoes: A solid pair of hiking shoes is a must. Most people go with boots, but I highly recommend trail runners.

🗺️ Maps: I ALWAYS download the maps before any trip.

🚮 Respect: Always leave ABSOLUTELY no trace. Pack out everything. Respect the wild.

Other than that, all it takes is a few miles of hiking and (sometimes painful) elevation gain. But trust me, it’s worth every step.
